Research Positions

Visiting scholar positions in Cheminformatics and Drug Design are available at the Howard University to work on the development and validation of cheminformatical methods and structure-based drug design.

Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in computational chemistry, informatics, biophysics, or a closely related field. You should have a solid theoretical and practical knowledge of two- and three-dimensional methods of cheminformatics, ligand- and structure-based virtual screening, QSAR and data mining. Proven proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (C++, Python, etc) is a requirement. Expertise in atomistic simulation techniques in molecular dynamics, quantum mechanics, Monte Carlo, comparative modeling etc, and familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating system are highly desirable.
